Everyone has an estate plan.  For those who die without preparing their own Will or Trust, their estate plan is dictated by the laws of the State in which they live.  If you want to determine how your assets are passed on after you die, you should at the very least have a Will prepared outlining your wishes.  For those who just want to get the basics in place, our team can prepare a basic estate plan for you that will include:

• a Health Care Power of Attorney and Living Will, in which you appoint someone of your choice to make health care decisions on your behalf if you are incapacitated and unable to do so yourself; you are also able to make your wishes known regarding the use of life support and comfort care should you be terminally ill and incapacitated.

• a Durable General Power of Attorney, in which you appoint and direct someone of your choice to manage your financial and other affairs on your behalf if you are incapacitated and unable to do so yourself.
